SickKids Transplant and Regenerative Medicine Centre is Canada's most researchintensive paediatric transplant program and the largest centre dedicated to offering
comprehensive transplant care in the country.

America and our hospitals survival rates match or exceed the best programs.
As innovators in transplantation, SickKids improves the health of children by integrating
care, research and teaching.
With a staff that includes professionals from all disciplines of health care and research,
the Transplant and Regenerative Medicine Centre provides the best in complex and
specialized care by creating scientific and clinical advancements, sharing knowledge
and expertise, and advocating on behalf of children who need transplant care.

Different Types of Programs

Therapeutic Clowning

A clown can become a childs confidant, playmate and


friend. Offering comfort and emotional support at a time
when a children and their families need it most.

Epilepsy Classroom

The Epilepsy Classroom caters to the individual learning


and social-emotional needs of children who have
intractable Epilepsy, that is, ongoing seizure activity
despite maximal medical treatment, as well as children
who have recently undergone brain surgery for
intractable Epilepsy.

Play Park

Your child will have lots of fun in the Play Park, which
looks like a little village! In the Art Gallery your child can
work on many creative crafts, such as painting, drawing,
and colouring. The School House has computers loaded
with lots of games to entertain children of all ages. In the
Theatre your child can watch a movie, play interactive
games, or simply read a book.

Centre for Brain & Mental Health


It strives to globally exceed its reputation as innovators in paediatric
neurosciences and mental health care, through the promotion and
execution of interdisciplinary and interprofessional activities both at
SickKids and within the greater community.

Tele-Link Mental Health Programs


Tele-Link provides expertise in the area of child and adolescent mental
health to the province of Ontario and beyond.Through the use of live video
broadcasting we connect children and youth, their case managers and
families to Psychiatrists and other mental health professionals for clinical
assessments, capacity building and education.

Child Life
Child Life Programs focus on the social and emotional impact of illness and
hospitalization.
Child Life strives to promote a positive hospital experience for children.
Child Life Specialists use play as a tool for socialization, preparation, expression
of feelings, normalization and learning.
