Comments Essay #3

1. I first fixed the citation errors that you had made on the feedback
essay. I have italicized the correct parts and have added in the
Volume number. As well as add a hanging indent.
2. I saw that on my feedback you made a comment about my title
in one of my citations. I made an error of not capitalizing the
word cheer. I was able to fix that because I understand that is
grammatically wrong. It is much better when the beginning of
each word is capitalized.
3. I have added a hanging indent to this citation as you have
mentioned to do in the feedback you gave me.
4. You stated in a comment through the feedback that I have gone
too far in discussing gatekeeping in terms of gatekeeping here. I
have chosen to highlight this sentence because I want it to be
deleted. It doesnt go with the ideas surrounding it and it
discusses something that should be discussed further along in
the synthesis part of this paper.
5. You added in my feedback that in this portfolio I should really add
my research questions into my synthesis. I went ahead and
added an entire paragraph connecting my sources on identity to
my first research question about identity. I wrote how each
source was useful towards answering this research question
because this really showed how I made these connections. The
sources were Gees article, personal observation, interview with
Amanda and the skills chart. I also answered my research
question to show that connecting all of these sources on identity
really did actually help me get the answer to my research
question regarding identity.
6. You added in my feedback that in this portfolio I should really add
my research questions into my synthesis. I was able to add
another paragraph concerning my second research question
about gatekeeping. I was able to name all of the sources that
contributed to answering this question which were the article on
gatekeeping, my interview with my coach and the skills chart. I
also answered my research question to show my audience that
all of these sources really were related to my research question
and they really did help me get my answer.
