Narrative
The planning cards helped with this project a lot. They got me thinking about what to put
on each slide, and helped me to organize my slides. They also helped to visualize what my
presentation would look like before I started making it. The peer and open lab TA evaluations
also had a great impact on my project. My peers and the TAs helped me to see things that I was
missing and suggest things that would enhance my project. It would not look as good as it does
without their helpful feedback!
I have learned that the instructional planning process is a lengthy experience. It takes a lot
of time and effort! It took a lot more than I thought it would initially, because there are a lot of
steps to take throughout the creation of the project. But all of the steps were definitely needed
and they helped a lot in the final product.
One of the ISTE standards for teachers is to model digital age work and learning. I
have addressed this specific standard through my project. I did so by creating an interactive
PowerPoint and using several key features to advance its normal presentation uses. I
demonstrated my knowledge of this digital technology and created a program that is interactive
with those who use it.
