How was WWII a war based on discrimination?

Racism was a key aspect of World War II and a primary factor within the Axis
military alliance. Hitler clearly gestates a great conflict against Jews and other,
according to him, "undesirable" people. He believed that they had to be eliminated from
German life, creating the "Jewish Question"; how would they get rid of them all? This
eventually led to the "Final Solution", also known as the Holocaust, where many people
whom Hitler viewed as undesirable were slaughtered. The Japanese also had highly
racist attitudes which showed in the treatment of Koreans, Chinese, Americans and
many other prisoners of war in their country. America also entered the war being very
racist. The South of the country was still strictly segregated with African-Americans
being denied civil rights and not allowed to vote. Also, the Japanese prejudice at the
time in America (and Canada) was often intense and was reflected in the disgraceful
treatment of Pacific-coast Japanese-Americans/Canadians simply because of their
ethnicity. It is impossible to ignore the main factor of WWII, racism, as it is the driving
force behind the war.
