upcoming event, the
vendors were Chick-FilA (the declined) and
Chipotle (graciously
agreed).
2/10/15: Meet with Ms.
Berry to update vendors
responses and decide
event date.
2/20/15: Create Parent
Letter and get Principal
approval.
3/2/15: Parent letter sent
out.

STAAR Nigh will be


held in March on the
11th before Spring

dismissal procedure.

campus climate that has
hallways named after
college mascots and has
college pendants to
make the connection
from animal to college.
Some students did not
know that the 200
hallway OWL Blvd.
represents Rice
University.

4/15/15: Met AJJH


Campus AVID leader
Ms. Hanzel and AP M.
Lewis and we agreed
that there needed to be a
crystal clear connection
of the hallways signs
and the perspective
colleges.
4/17/15: Ms. Hanzel
sent out flyers for AVID
students to attend the
Climate Project planning
meeting which asked
students to bring a friend
and allotted community
service hours for
attending.
4/18/15: I met with four
students. Mapped out a
plan and created needed
signs and pendants.
4/21/15: Signs were
laminated.

4/23/15: AVID students


began at 7:00 am before
school started to hang
hallway signs and
pendants.
It was challenge to get
the signs to stay up. We
got some advice from
the art teacher and he
suggested using Velcro. I
purchased some Velcro
during lunch break.
The students returned at
fifth period to complete
their assignment.
