EMBROIDERY TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS & TRICKS

Things to check when you are experiencing problems stitching out an embroidery design:
Make sure your machine is clean and oiled.
Check that you are using the correct (embroidery) foot.
Check to make sure the feed dogs are in the correct position.
Check that the bobbin is threaded the right way.
Check that your machine is threaded right.
Thread machine according to your machine's directions.
Make sure machine is free of obstruction.
Make sure thread guide is in place if your machine requires it.
Make sure you are using thread net if your machine requires it.
Try slowing embroidery speed if your machine has this setting.
Keep jump threads trimmed.
Make sure to use the correct stabilizer for the fabric you are stitching on.

MACHINE APPLIQUE INSTRUCTIONS

1. Hoop and stabilize your item in your embroidery machine and run the first
block.

2. Stitch out the placement stitch (This stitch will show you exactly where to place your
appliqu fabric)

3. Place your appliqu fabric ON TOP of the placement stitches. (You can
use a bit of adhesive spray to help hold it in place.)

4. Let the machine sew the next color block. (This is your tack down stitch.)

5. Remove the hoop from the machine,

DO NOT un-hoop your fabric.
Closely trim away the fabric from around the stitches. (Cut close to the stitches, but do
not cut the stitches. Curved, embroidery scissors are recommended)

6. Return the hoop to the machine and sew your last block,

the satin stitch.
