Tiger Pride
3/3-3/5
Week 4
Reflection
During the fourth week of Tiger Pride Ms. Xiomora introduced the back hand Frisbee
throw. Now the main surprise that caught my attention was the number of students who werent
familiar with this specific skill. Normally all kids at a very young age would at least know how
to basically throw a Frisbee. But about more then half of the third grade class wasnt familiar
with the concept. Within this week the students have behaved about an average, meaning that
most of the time the class would pay attention and participate. However there were a number of
times a majority of the class would sprout off and do their own thing during the lesson. Ms.
Xiomora would start off by providing a short lesson by explaining the ques of the skill and
applying the student-teacher demonstration effect. The students would partner up and practice
passing the Frisbee to each other; some would defiantly challenge themselves by increasing the
distance. After the practice session of the backhand throw, Ms. Xiomora began applying a short
game where students would run around and throw the Frisbee to each other but after receiving
the Frisbee, the students only are aloud to take three steps max.
