Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions,
and read the Bible Story with scripture references indicated under the
power outlets. As this is done each day, let your child color in or put a
sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At
the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the
teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will
have their picture posted in the foyer of Power Source and their name in
the newsletter.

Father God,
Thank You for loving me and taking care of me. Bless my church, Pastor Ron,
and his family. Bless my teachers for teaching me Your Word. I believe Your love
is flowing through me to other people. Help me to obey my parents so things
will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. I will tell how great
You are and how much I love you. I thank You that by Jesus stripes I am healed.
In Jesus' name,
Amen

I will be filled with the Holy Ghost, and begin to speak with other
tongues, as the spirit gives me utterance.
Acts 2:4
I will lay hands on the sick and they will recover.
Mark 6:18
I will prophesy, using my voice to honor God.
Acts 19:6

Tongues are the language of heaven and of angels. It is the

language of our spirits communicating with His spirit, the
Holy Spirit.

I Corinthians 14:2, For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to
men but to God...in the Spirit He speaks mysteries.

Praying in tongues makes our spirit man stronger. Jude vs. 20
says that this is building yourself up in your most holy faith.
Many great things happen when your spirit man becomes
stronger. First, you draw closer in your friendship with our
heavenly Father. Secondly, you begin to recognize His voice
easier, you begin to make wiser decisions because you can
sense Him leading you more clearly. Third, when your spirit is
strong, it is easier to say No! to sin and temptation. What is
so odd about this language is that even when you can speak
it very easily, you cannot understand what you are praying.
You trust that the Holy Spirit who knows everything is praying
the perfect prayer using your voice. You can pray or worship
in your prayer language anytime and anyplace you feel led to.
Whether you are at church or school or play, He is there when
you need Him.
