Goal Statement: Jose is a 15 year-old eighth grade student currently preparing for the high school

transition. Jose communicated that he will be attending Madison Park Technical and Vocational High School
in Boston next year. Upon graduation he does plan on attending college. Jose would like to go to college
in the Boston area so he can live at home. After college he would like to live in his own apartment in East
Boston. Jose expressed that he would like to pursue a course of study that will prepare him for a career as
an auto mechanic. He also displayed interest in participating in an ROTC program during high school to
prepare for a possible career in the Army or mechanic in the National Guard. Recently Jose has shifted
some of his focus to art and acting. He has shared that he may want to pursue drawing or the possibility
of a career in acting. He wants to be in the Fast and Furious movies. Furthermore, Jose shared that he
would like to receive his drivers license. He explained that being able to drive would be helpful when he
goes to college or gets a job. Jose would like a job working on cars while he is in high school.
