Provide oversight and supervision of the Diversity & Inclusion Center, including programs and
services that promote diversity and inclusion for students.
Development and implementation of programs and services offered by the Center Work with

Presenters will discuss creating change on new campuses or career changes as women of color. This
presentation will provide insight on how their ethnic backgrounds are enhancing and encouraging
change on PWI and HSI campuses. The presenters will also share barriers they are facing in their new
roles on their respective campuses and how they are trying to overcome them. Identity theory will be
highlighted in reference to their decision making process and career planning.

your time at City Colleges of Chicago by planning ahead for your eventual transfer to a four year institution.

Diversity 101: Faculty, Staff and Students are trained in diversity awareness, what social justice truly means, how to
created an inclusive campuse by building communities. This training also touches on how power and privlidge
affect identity and relationships on a college campus while also begins to light the concept of allyship.
Communities that Care: Creating a Safe Space on Campus & Becoming An Ally to Undocumented
Students: Faculty and Staff are invited to become Allys to our undocumented student population. This
training will help to explore the experience/perspective of undocumented students, gain knowledge to the laws
and national supports for this population of students, but most importantly increase on campus support and
inclusion for undocumented students on campus.
Inclusive Language 101: Faculty, Staff, and Students are invited to understand the power of language and to be
more aware in the language they use whenr interacting with others
