Procedure
1. Set up the lab by setting the angle of the ramp to 30 with the motion probe at the end of
the ramp.
2. Take the mass of the cart and record it.
3. Set up Logger Pro on the computer and set it to record velocity and time.
4. Place the cart at the top of the ramp, press collect on Logger Pro, and then release the
cart.
5. Repeat step 4 for 10 trials.
6. Using the collected data, find the average slope.
7. Clean up lab area and return items to their proper places.

Impact Softener
Pickett Fence

Procedure

Set up the photogate at the edge of the table and place the impact softener on the ground.
Drop the pickett fence from a specified height and view the photogate results
Repeat step 2 for 10 trials.
Find the average acceleration of all of the trials.
Return all materials to their proper places.
