Interpreting behaviors or sounds. Observe and objectively record two

situations when a caregiver interpreted an infant or toddlers behavior
and/or sounds.
Situation 1:

CJ is sitting next to another child while a caregiver is reading a book. CJ gets up, walks over
to the book self and grabs a body book. CJ turns around and sits on the floor. CJ opens the
book and is flipping through the pages one by one. CJ then throws the body book down and
goes over to the caregiver and takes her book. CJ is now sitting next to the caregiver
flipping through pages as the caregiver is pointing out different objects.

Situation 2:
CJ just walked in the gym and begin to run for the yellow ball. CJ grabs the yellow ball and
lays her belly on it. CJ is trying to bounce on her belly. CJ falls on her bottom and begins to
cry. A caregiver walks over to her and lays her back on her belly on the ball. CJ stops crying
and begins to bounce on her belly again. CJ starts laughing and falls off again. CJ gets up
and lays back on her ball.
