RUGBY:

What, where, & how did rugby


begin? Where is it today?

Thesis:
Rugby shows economics, reflects culture,
history, use of technology and diffusion. From
its origin, England, it has greatly affected the
sports world.

Origin:
Rugby began in England as a version of football
played at public schools in the 19th century.
It transformed into a professional sport of its
own.

Its origin defines it a lot but, the


process of diffusion was stimulus. The
trend of football in reverse made
rugby a more unique sport now
played worldwide. Rugby has changed
history in including and allowing
females to play the sport, this was
allowed before football ever included
females as legit players.

Rugby is a highly more dangerous sport!
Deaths, and many, many have been severely
injured.

Rules: Basics

Ball is only to be passed backwards to your team. If the ball is dropped out in front of players hand the ball is
called for as a knock-on.
After a knock-on next play automatically turns into a scrum, which is played through the opposing side.

Any ball kicked outsides will be called for a line-out to opposing team.
The ball can be kicked forward at anytime but no one from the side that is kicking is allowed to kick
unless your kicker is in front of you. Every kick that is kicked into the end zone will be played at the 22
yard line by the opposing team.
No high tackles (above shoulders) and No foul play.
