Proposal for CSUMB Study at Sea Program brochure

I am very pleased to submit this design proposal for the CSUMB Study at Sea Program brochure for your approval.
Overview
The CSUMB School of Information Technology and Communication Designs Study at Sea Program is in need of a
well-designed, aesthetically pleasing brochure to promote their program. Justine Dean is the coordinator that will be
representing the Study at Sea program and approving the final design for the brochure. As requested, the designer will
design a three-panel print brochure that will attract students, and their parents, to the unique educational experience
of studying at sea. This brochure will be used to promote the program on other college campuses as well. The project
designer, Miss Nicole Langstaff, will produce an enticing brochure that will appeal to the university students sense of
adventure and experience of new cultures and environments. The text and photos for the brochure will be provided by the
client. The final products will include the final brochure print comp and a CD containing all of the original files involved in
the designers process of completing this project. This project will be completed entirely by December 16, 2013.
Features
The brochure will be a three-panel, tri-fold layout printed in CMYK color mode on 8.5 x 11 in. trimmed legal-size paper
using a color copier. The brochure will have bleeds and full color.
Designer
The designer, Miss Nicole Langstaff, is junior at CSUMB as a Communication Design major with an emphasis in Visual
Design. Her experience includes several design classes with actual client-based projects, freelance design work for
weddings and logos, as well as being the graphic designer for a state-funded app project that tests broadband speed.
Timeline
Each Monday the client will review the designers print comp of the brochure and suggest alterations that the designer will
perform before meeting again the following week. The final client presentation will be held on December 16, 2013 and the
final deliverables will be sent to the client representative by December 18, 2013.
