Brief Profile

Ibn Arabi and Mulla Sadra Corner are institution of research, under authority of The Islamic College
Jakarta. The programs focused on research activities by applying academic standard research. The
programs aim to enrich and deepen Ibn Arabi and Mulla Sadra Schools of thought through rational
approach in order to be understood clearly by Civitas Academica and general society. But the Corner
not only focuses on Ibn Arabi and Mulla Sadra schools of thought but on general Islamic Philosophy
and Mysticim (tasawwuf), Ibn Arabi and Mulla Sadra are just the representative of the Sufi and
Muslim Philosopher that have been known well for their spirituality treatises and works in the
world.

The main purpose of establishment of Ibn Arabi and Mulla Sadra Corner is to enrich the horizon and
knowledge in Islamic Philosophy and Mysticism and also to research their works by using rational
approach. To strenghten the programs, Ibn Arabi and Mulla Sadra Corner will be brought into a
superior research institution and entrenched for academic world in understanding the works and
thoughts of Ibn Arabi and Mulla Sadra in comprehensive manner.

The Activities will be weekly discussion, Monthly discussion, thematic discourses, Manuscript
studies, library and field research, short courses , and both national and international seminar.
