COLLEGE ACADEMICS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

DESCRIPTION:To make a college academics management system for

the students, college faculties and the administrative staff of the college. To access the
system user should make an account having unique username. The system can only be
accessed by a unique combination of a username and password. The system provides
four different kinds of users to log-in.
First kind of user is administrator. System automatically
creates the administrator account whenever the system is installed. He has the access
to all the information about the college students and the faculties. So, he has the
privileges to view as well as modify all the information about them.
Second kind of user is the faculty, who can login and
view all the information about him. He/she can access and modify his personal
information like name, address, phone no. etc. He /she should be able to view the no. of
hours he/she has worked. He/she is also notified about the meetings held in the college,
which he/she needs to attend. He/she should be able to view his time-table, which
contains all the information about his weekly lectures, labs and the different rooms in
which those lectures and labs will be held. He/she should have the syllabus, which
he/she has to cover in different subjects in different classes. He/she can mark the
syllabus which he/she has already covered. He/she can also create various forums,
post their views.
Third kind of user is H.O.D. He/she also has all the
authorities and facilities available to the faculty. But he/she also has the special
authority to mark the attendance of the faculty in his/her department. He/she also
allocates the subjects to his departments faculties. He/she also makes and modifies the
schedules for all the subjects and all the exams.
Fourth kind of user is a student. He/she can view his
personal information like name, address, phone no. etc. He /she can also view his
examination results of different semesters, his/her attendance percentage that is
calculated at the end of every month. He/she should be able to see his syllabus and the
course material like books of all the semesters. He/she can also see the schedule of the
ongoing semester, which contains the information about the weekly time table of the
present semester, the exams time-table and the holidays as well. He/she can also see
the different events going in the college, in which he/she can participate. He/she can
also create various forums, post their views.
