The history of haute design and the direction behind creating the
actual articles
of clothing
The history of couture fashion and how it has grown to be a worldwide
source
of style
The specifics and trends involved in the creation of couture fashion
The high end marks of the fashioned trends and the inspiration for
current and
modern designs
The designs and restrictions that create the couture label
The basic look for a couture design and the different aspects of the
look

Although the more scientific aspect of my project is not discussed in this

source, the
fashion aspect of my project is still important to the final
product. This source helped me understand the specifics and basics of
couture fashion that I will need to create my
project. In this source,
I learned that couture fashion stems from France and Paris in the
early 1800s. This source also shared how the specific fashion grew from a
small French boutique style to a worldwide fashion trend through old
world trading and multiple
selling points. This source helped me
to see the old fashioned idea of couture fashion
itself and how I
can incorporate that into my own product. It also gave me an idea of
the history of it that led to the final product that we see today. Seeing how
old and far
back the idea of this fashion goes, it gives me the idea
to make a much more old fashioned design for my product.

Haute couture refers to the creation of exclusive fashions. It is a common

term for custom-fitted clothing as produced primarily in Paris but also in other
fashion capitals such as New York, London, and Milan. Haute couture is not
only made-to-order for a specific customer, it is usually made from highquality, expensive fabric and sewn with extreme attention to detail and finish,
often using time-consuming hand-executed techniques. The term is
sometimes used to refer exclusively to French fashion; more often, it refers to
any unique stylish design made to order for wealthy and high-status clients.

Shows the society of bees in a more in depth way

Gives a specific definition of the different specific classes throughout
the bee world
The evolved social classes of behaviors for honey bees
The specific role in the hive of a queen bee
The specific role in the hive of a drone bee
The specific role in the hive of a drone bee
The lifespan of a typical honey bee

This source was very helpful in addressing the very specific focusing question
that is on the hierarchy of bees. A large part of this source focused on not
only the social classes of bees, but also the evolved behaviors and advanced
positions that exist in the honey bee word. It also talks about the specific
tasks and a typical life of different bees throughout the hive. This includes a
detailed definition of the tasks of a queen, drone, larvae, and worker. It also
discussed the detailed brooding patterns in a honey bee hive. This source
shared no bias by giving both sides of any controversial topics or ideas
brought up. However it also shares only facts and statistics, therefor limiting
the amount of deeper digging and bringing u of other ideas.
A honey bee colony typically consists of three kinds of adult bees: workers,
drones, and a queen. Several thousand worker bees cooperate in nest
building, food collection, and brood rearing. Each member has a definite task
to perform, related to its adult age. But surviving and reproducing take the
combined efforts of the entire colony. Individual bees (workers, drones, and
queens) cannot survive without the support of the colony.

Discusses the structure and organization of a typical honey bee colony

The specific tasks done to keep the structure growing
The specific jobs needed to let the structure thrive
The different kinds of bees in any given hive
The jobs these bees perform on a daily basis
The actual process of bee keeping
The specific process of honey bee pollination
The complicated process and division of labor throughout a hive

This source gave me a greater insight into the specifics of bees and
beekeeping in general as well as more knowledge and information about the
hierarchy of bees. It talked in depth about the different kinds of bees and
their jobs throughout a common honey bee hive. It also discussed the
complicated process of actual bee keeping as a whole and showed how honey
bees actually pollinate at all. It also talked about the complicated process and
division of labor in a honey bee hive. This source was very good at backing up
each claim with extensive research and proof making it very thorough, but it
shares very few statistics and numerical data.

A bee which has found a rich source of food will return to the hive and
execute a dance on the surface of the comb. It takes the form of a figure
eight with a straight section in the middle. The length of the straight section
is proportional to the distance of the flowers from the hive, and the angle it
makes with the vertical represents the angle between the position of the sun,
the hive and the source of food. In addition. The dancer may make waggling
movements of her body on the straight section, which indicates distance.
Some of the foraging bees in the hive follow the dance, touching the dancer
with their antennae. From time to time the dancer stops and, regurgitating a
little of the nectar she has collected from the flowers, she feeds the attentive
workers. The dance pattern, the taste of the nectar and sometimes the scent
of the flowers on the dancer's body enable the workers to find the feeding
ground from which the dancer, has just returned.
