To Whom It May Concern:

I have had the pleasure of getting to know Jaimeson Bishop as a person and colleague during his time at John Page Middle
School teaching English Language Arts to our seventh grade students. Jaimeson applied for two openings we had last school
year, successfully interviewed and was hired to teach four blocks of Language Arts. We knew at the time of Jaimesons hiring
that he would be a leader in our building in the near future, a coach for athletics, and a valued resource for our students.
Unfortunately, due to a declining district enrollment, along with other economic struggles, Jaimesons position will be
assumed by another educator for the following school year. This move had nothing to do with Jaimesons performance but
rather the district trying to be fiscally responsible.

In the classroom, Jaimeson is frequently differentiating instruction for students and giving students the confidence they need
to be successful in school. He has taught them how to be creative and reflective in the writing process, but more importantly
has valued their thinking and provided a safe place for exploration and intellectual risks. His lessons include a variety of
technology, hands-on activities, and group work, which reflect his view that collaboration is key for future success. Mr.
Bishop understands that Language Arts concepts are important to students success and highlights the connections by building
upon prior knowledge and fully engaging the students in the learning process. Students are given opportunities to reflect on
their learning and track their own progress along with immediate and specific teacher feedback. Within his daily classroom
routines, Jaimeson shows flexibility and responsiveness with his students and the learning process. It is clear Mr. Bishop truly
enjoys working with students and wants to see them succeed. Most importantly, he has managed to build a positive rapport
with the students and interactions are highly respectful reflecting genuine warmth, caring, and sensitivity to students as
individuals.

Jaimeson Bishop would be a great contribution to any ELA or Psychology department at the secondary level and if given the
opportunity to do so, I would hire him immediately. He has gone above and beyond his responsibilities as a first year teacher
and has presented at professional learning opportunities, arranged parent meetings with struggling students, attended extracurricular events, coached various sports, and asked for feedback through observations of administrators, peers, and mentors.
His participation in outside activities and dedication inside the classroom demonstrates his level of commitment to students, a
school buildings culture, and the entire district. Please do not hesitate to contact me to discuss Jaimesons many
qualifications.

Sincerely,

Eric Kausch
