Descriptive Title of Internship Position:
Job description including general duties to be undertaken as part of the internship:
The students work should meet this description, the student should receive adequate
supervision, the student should have a safe place to work, and the student should have
the opportunity to fulfill learning requirements.
The student should provide diligent performance of work, safeguard the interests of the
organization, and share information that may impact the students ability to do the job
including the level of internship course for which the student has registered.
I am the administrator of social media- responsible for the Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook
accounts of Casleigh Consulting. Updating weekly and linked together.
I will assist in 1-2 major Truman Charity events - preparing and execution of event.
I am responsible for research for posts- blog, twitter, Facebook
I am responsible for general business/ administration related tasks such as scheduling and
responding to emails.
I will learn about recruiting
Description of compensation including amount, how and when paid and treatment of taxes, as
well as, facilities, and supervision to be provided by the worksite organization to the student:
Units of credit to be earned: 3 (require a minimum of 45 hours of work per credit)
This is a non-paid internship being done for credit only.
Goal 2: Increase overall business knowledge to understand the different functions of the backoffice to help identify areas of career interest. Intern will be exposed to recruitment, human
resource functions, sales & marketing, and general administration.
Objective 1: Marketing & Sales to understand the full sales lifecycle, learning how new
opportunities are identified, qualified, transitioned to a deal that is closed.
Objective 2: To understand the basic function of Human Resources and Recruitment;
specifically with recruitment, to understand the full lifecycle of recruiting and hiring. This
will include intern participation in reviewing resumes, phone screens as well as in person
interviews of candidates as well as evaluation.
Objective 3: To understand the basic administration of a business an all key responsibilities
to successfully run a corporation.
Goal 3: To learn the importance of networking and the positive impact on a companys growth.
Objective 1: Develop a LinkedIn account and target meeting and connecting with 50
seasoned business professionals who are new contacts to intern.
Objective 2: Learn how everything integrates into business. Specifically, how Casleighs
involvement with charity endeavors have a positive impact on overall business growth.
Weather emergency plan and absenteeism policy
Weather shall not be an issue as student will be working virtual. On planned office days, if there is
inclement weather, I will complete tasks from home. If there is inclement weather on a scheduled
event day, I will do my best to commit to attending the rescheduled date.
Planned absence:
- Student will provide supervisor with an email 2 weeks prior advising of days & hours
missed and a plan for making up the time.
- Supervisor will reply approving or adjusting the plan
Unplanned absence:
- Student will provide supervisor with an email as soon as they are aware of the
impending absence advising of days & hours missed and a plan for making up the time.
- The email will be followed-up with a phone call
- Supervisor will reply approving or adjusting the plan
Rights of the worksite in supervising the student
The supervisor has the right to direct the students work, hours, discipline, and termination.
Process of termination
Student and supervisor should share concerns with the instructor before taking action to
terminate the internship. The student should have permission of the instructor before
terminating participation in the internship. The instructor may remove the intern from the
placement.
The undersigned agree to the conditions, including any attachments, which shall be initialed, set
forth in this document for this internship.
