TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

Discipline:

Academic- Must get the job done in the class room first
Public- Must understand you reflect your brand, family, school, teachers
Classroom- Must control yourself in the classroom and take advantage of
class time every day

Commitment:

Being Great- Win every day in school, accomplish daily goals

Improve- Every day you should strive to improve on every aspect in the
classroom.
Work- Learning requires work, which is the only currency successful
individuals accept.
Do whats needed to be successful- Sometimes going above and beyond
is what is needed to be successful. (Sometimes staying after class to improve
allows one to find success)

Simplicity:

Simple Expectations- Come to class and try.

Simple Concepts
o Dress in pro PE attire
o Participate
o Give an effort (Students control 2 things: Effort & Attitude)

Respect:
Classmates learning differences
Teachers- They are there for you to succeed
The Processo Where did you start?
o Where do you want to finish?
o What do you need to do to finish?

The Process
Teaching must be looked at not only from a whole but as the sum of its parts.
Teaching is a process. The Process: is a way to break down a difficult situation
into manageable pieces. When you think about learning dont think about the final
exam, think about all of the little things needed to achieve your end goal; studying
hard, completing assigned work, and focusing on what can be achieved that day.
When we focus on the future we focus on the unknown and that creates anxiety. Its
great to set a goal but focusing too much on that ideal can throw off your focus.

Breaking a goal down into smaller manageable pieces will create a pattern of
success.
