REFLECTION
1. I am most proud of The Great Gatsby soundtrack assignment that I was assigned
in english 11. Not only because I received a 4/4 on it, but I spent a lot of time on the
project. I was not sure if I would receive a 4 or not on this assignment. Within the
assignment I was assigned I had to pick songs from the movie and compare with songs
you would use and why.
2. Over the last three years I only really have records from junior and senior year,
but there is no clear trend in my english work but in each section I did it seemed to have
very similar grades for each year. Each year I have noticed that in each section I have
earned better scores each passing year on assignments. For example, my writing scores
from first semester sophomore year were 1-0, 1-2, 1-3, 2-4, 1-5. As opposed to junior
year first semester my grades were 1-1s, 2-2s, 2-3s, and 5-4s.
3. During my sophomore year I did not know how to maintain the portfolio since it
was my first year in this school system, so it was a train wreck. Junior year I turned it
around and learned how to keep my portfolio neat, clean and ready for the project.
Finally my senior year I maintained the portfolio as much as possible but due to many
absences in the second semester I have not maintained it that well this year. From all
three years I have learned that as long as you keep up with updates, life is much easier
and successful with the portfolio. As a student I have honestly learned that I am not a
very strong writer because I put a lot of effort and work into my writing but I only receive
an average 2.5-3.0 on my writing assignments, it is very rare to see a 4 on a writing piece
in any section on my score sheets.

4. GOHS has helped prepare me the most for college when it comes to assignments
and due dates, especially in writing assignments. Great Oak has very specific due dates,
instructions, and plagiarism protocols much like college professors would in college.
