Fusagasugá is a municipality located in Cundinamarca, Colombia known as the "Garden City of Colombia". It is situated on a plateau framed by rivers and hills. The area was originally inhabited by the indigenous Sutagaos people before being founded as a native village in 1592 and established as a town for whites in 1776 under its current name. Due to its warm climate and proximity to Bogotá, Fusagasugá attracts many tourists for its hotels, resorts, parks and adventure sports activities in nature.

The city is located on a plateau framed by Cuja and Chocho rivers, and Fusacatn and Quinin hills that form the Valley of the Sutagaos. The Sutagaos were the aboriginals of the area where today stands Fusagasug, people in the region said they belonged to the Chibcha linguistic family and were located in the border Muisca, serving as a meeting to engage in political and trade relations between the panches tribes, pijaos and Muisca, but was founded as a Native village on 5 February 1592 under the name of "Our Lady of High Grace" and Established as Town for Whites on 7 May 1776 under its current name.
