GALPAGOS ISLANDS

One of the world's foremost destinations for wildlife viewing!

The Galapagos islands are separate from Ecuador but are

still included as part of the country. These islands have
multiple volcanoes formed on opposite sides of them.
They also have many different types of animals
inhabiting that includes penguins and lions. The islands
are also inhabited by native people that speak Spanish.
When I visited the islands I got to enjoy the beautiful
tropical climate along with the amazing views.

Iguazu Falls
Most beautiful Water Falls!

The Iguazu Falls are some of the most beautiful falls in

the world. They include over 275 waterfalls. All these
falls combined make it one of the largest falls in the
world. The drop of the huge waterfall is a frightening 80
meters high but is one breathe taking view. The water
flows into this fall from Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil.
The falls can only be reached by two different towns so it
was pretty difficult to get to but in the end it was
definitely worth it. This was definitely the best spot I
have visited yet!

CHICHEN ITZA

Amazing archeological site built by the Maya people of the

Terminal Classic period!

The temple in the picture is the temple of Kukulkan. This

is such a cool site because it was all hand made. The
Mayans didnt have the technology that we have today
but they were able to create such a nice structure. Also,
during the time of March 21 or September 22 during the
equinoxes then you can see a snake figure on the side of
the temple. This is how they named it Kukulkan, which is
actually named after a feathered snake deity. These
temples were the homes to the Mayan people until they
were invaded by the Spaniards.

Machu Picchu

Iconic hilltop ruins of a large 15th century Inca city!

Machu Picchu is an amazing sanctuary that was created

by the Incas before the 1500s as a temple for the
emperor. This sight was built with dry stone walls and is
now considered a world heritage site. They created the
site all by hand but had to abandon because of the
Spanish conquest. Its amazing architecture was built with
old techniques that the Incas had at the time. Also, its
name comes from the word Quechua which means old
city.

This is a very popular landmark because it is a huge

glacier in Santa Cruz Province, Argentina. This glacier
brings in tons of money from tourists every year. That
makes it very important in the Argentine Patagonia. This
is one of three glaciers left that are actually growing. The
rest of the glaciers are melting at a fast rate. It takes
about two hours to get to by bus and tourists take these
busses daily to see the glacier. Overall, this is not just a
tourist attraction but a great creation in nature.
