Making Sense of the City

Downtown Brooklyn
is the third largest
central business
district in New York
City, and is located in
the northwestern
section of Brooklyn.

Historically the area has

been primarily a
commercial and civic
center, with relatively
little residential
development. However,
the new zoning allows for
denser residential
development, and the
area has seen an increase
in condominiums and
townhouses.

and reduce vehicle speed.
