As seen in the two pictures presented above, the


images involved wave fronts meant to return into the medium from which it originated

Stars twinkle primarily due to the small bundles of air that causes the bending of light(refraction) as it
passes through it. Refraction is a good reason of optical illusions, such as the bent spoon seen above.

Diffraction of light in the closely spaced


tracks on a compact disc shows a
ROYGBIV pattern. The right picture shows
diffraction of sunlight by homogeneous
sized tiny droplets in the air.

Interference easily observed during a rainfall, we see points where the relative waves meet. A destructive
interference is observed if light are of different phases. Being on the same phase, a bright spot is then then
created as a result of constructive interference.
