COLOUR MIXING

A few of our children have shown an interest in doing science and

expressed a curiosity in mixing their colours while painting. To build on
the childrens interests and encourage their learning, we have been
exploring the science of colour mixing and water absorption on paper
towel.
Using blue, yellow, and red food dye, the children have been using the
droppers to drop the colours onto the paper towel. They have been
making predictions about the colours they can create, developing their
observational skills, and using their imaginations to come up with new
ways to explore the colours.
