Katy Perry- Biography

Kathryn Elizabeth Hudson who is commonly
known by her stage name Katy Perry was
born on 25th 25 1984, She is an American
singer and songwriter. In 2008 she became
a well-known singer with her two singles, I
kissed a girl and hot n cold.

Starting Her Career

Katy Perry started her singing her career by

being a gospel singer at her parents ministry.
She started this at the age of 9 and continued all
the way through until age 17. Her parents didnt
want Katy to listen to music that was nonreligious.
Katy Perry first signed with red hill records in
2001 and released her first album Katy Hudson.
Soon after that she moved to Los Angeles to
continue her adventure with music. Katy Perry
has done so much since then including concerts,
many other albums and more.

Albums and Songs

Katy Perry has written over sixty songs and nine
albums including two of the most well known,
teenage dream and her latest one, prism. Katy
Perry has all types of music, starting from
acoustic pieces and to pop-rock. Her first music
album was released in the year 2001 and was
called Katy Hudson, which had 10 songs. This
included the songs; trust in me, Last Call, faith
wont fall and many more. She released another
few albums in-between her teenage dream
album, which had 16 songs including, California
girls, firework and last Friday night as well as
some others.
Katy Perrys most recent album was released in
2013 and was called prism. It also included 16
songs such as Dark Horse, Unconditionally,
Birthday and This Is How We Do and many
others. She sold over one million copies of it and
has already held concerts for it.

Concerts and tours

Katy Perry has had many many concerts. Her
hello Katy tour had 39 shows in North America,
36 in Europe, 5 in Asia and 4 in Oceania, making
89 in total. Her California dreams tour had 46
in Europe, 11 in Oceania, 6 in Asia, 61 in North
America and 2 in South America, making 127
shows in total. The prismatic tour had 38 in
Europe, 67 in North America, 25 in Oceania 12 in
Asia and 8 in Latin America making a total of 150
shows in total. Overall out of these 3 tours, Katy
Perry has had 366 shows. Now thats a lot of
singing. She has made over 1 million dollars from
these concerts.
