A conscientious final year student, eager to begin working within the Marketing and Communications industry.

Work Experience
Placement year: Kesslers International Ltd.
While undertaking my placement year at Kesslers International had a huge range of responsibilities, including: regular
updating of the website, controlling social media accounts (Google Analytics, Twitter & Linkedin), writing articles for
industry leading magazines, supporting sales team with presentations, regular market research trips, attending regular
new project briefs & event organisation (including events at the House of Commons and awards shows in Paris).
During my year at Kesslers, my Marketing Manager left and between January and June I was managing the department
solely.
Easter 2011: JWT London
This role involved working alongside a member of the account handling department which allowed me to gain further
knowledge of the industry, thus increasing my professional ability. Whilst there, I was given numerous responsibilities
including market analysis, product dissertation and assessment of their graduate recruitment literature.
I relished the opportunity of communicating with several other departments involved in the companys marketing success,
discussing their key role within the agency, in order to provide me with first-hand knowledge of the ins and outs of the
company.

Career History
The Star Inn, Felbridge (Summer 2012)
Whilst at The Star Inn, I was able to develop my hospitality skills, as this position entailed dealing with customers on a dayto-day basis. I was also assigned to dealing with payments, which demonstrated the companies trust in me, as well as
numerous other responsibilities. This position furthered my teamwork skills, and feel I am now able to deal with stressful
situations in a calm and professional manner.
Cowes Week (Taylor Events), Isle of Wight (Summer 2014)
For a week during Europes largest sailing regatta I worked on a bar doing a wide range of tasks to ensure the smooth
running. Whilst working on the bar we were also required to do promotional work in the local town, ensuring people within
the area

IT Skills: I have an extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator and InDesign. I
regularly use Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, Flickr, Wordpress, and Tumblr in order to keep up to date
on news and current affairs. I have also used Google Analytics throughout my placement year at Kesslers International,
continuously checking the statistics for two websites.

Extra-Curricular Activities
I was a member of the HFA (Hurtwood Film Academy), which involved creating short films, demonstrating my strong
understanding of technology. I was additionally responsible for organising the Academys filings, for example scripts and
even editing material.
During my time at Ardingly College several of my peers and I entered the Young Enterprise scheme, which involved setting
up a business which provided a product or service of our choice. We were instructed to create a trade stand in which to
promote the brand, and as a result our trade stand won best in our specified area and made a substantial profit over the 5
week period.
