The Kindergarten, June 2nd, 2015

This weeks curriculum highlights:
Language Arts:
We will review all sight words and letters of the
alphabet learned this year.
Literature:
Stories, songs and poems related to our current
Unit of Inquiry, Transportation.

Writers Workshop
The children will write persuasive letters to
the EC4 kids convincing them why it is fun to
come to Kindergarten.
Math:
Continue working on story problems with
addition and subtraction.

June 8th: 8:10 Principal parent meeting
June 8-12: Portfolio conferences (more details to
follow)
June 15th: Bike day (more details to follow)
June 17th 11:30 KG end of the year pool party
(more details to follow)
June 18th: 12:00 dismissal LAST DAY OF
SCHOOL

We will celebrate as a grade level on Wednesday, June

17th.
What? A potluck lunch (each person brings a dish)
Where? Outside, if weather allows
Inside, if it rains
Time: 11:30pm to 12:30pm.
Who? The Kindergarten classes and their parents.
What to bring? We will put a list up outside the
classroom for you to sign up. We would like a balance of
healthy dishes like pasta, chicken, sandwiches, fruits,
vegetables etc as well as desserts.
Something to sit on for the picnic (picnic blankets)
Following the picnic lunch, we will have our water day
starting at 13:00.
