Brief on Ducati Case study

In my point of view, No Ducati should not enter to cruise market in American

market because of domination of market and loyal customers of Harley
Davidson, Heavy capital investment requirement, time consuming and
unpredictably of economic conditions.
Should Ducati attack on Harley Davidson cruise market in America to
maintain its double digit profit?
Ducati should concentrate on his current segment and strategic strength
instead of attacking on Harley Davidson cruise market because Harley
Davidson has already dominating market. They are fully holding market and
their customers are loyal to them, they are loyal to Harley Davidson and
purchasing their product they are satisfied with their product. For Ducati its
difficult to capture market share.
Harley Davidson has unique design for Ducati they required huge capital to
invest on R&D to make their own unique and differentiated design from
Harley Davidson. Instead on huge capital investment on design Ducati should
invest that money on current division to give them good services and
qualitative product.
By entering to American cruise market Ducati should wait for long time to
generate profit because they are facing strong competitor that having loyal
customers. Ducati would generate profit after long time if they successfully
enter to cruise market in America so they should concentrate on current
division instead of entering to American market.
Economic situation are also not stable so Ducati have no surety that if they
enter to American cruise market and economic situation would be favorable
to them, So Ducati should not enter to American cruise market because
future is unpredictable and they having no surety of generating profit.
