1 Base Building Design

Base Building design office luminance level is designed to be around 500 Lux
as per IES/CIBSE recommendation.

2 MS1512 Design

In accordance to MS1525 Clause 6.2.2 (Table 13), the illuminance level for
building is designed to the maintained levels of 300 to 400 Lux
(recommended for general building areas and office). Maximum permissible
Lighting Power Density is 15W/m2 as per MS1525 Clause 6.3 (Table 14).

3 Gold Design

The building is designed to maintain the office lighting luminance level of no

more than specified in MS1525:2007 for 90% of NLA as measured at the
working plane 800mm measured from the floor level.

5 Objective

To ensure office lighting level is not over-designed.

6 Requirements/ Target Code

1 Point: Demonstrate that office lighting design maintains a luminance level

of no more than specified in MS1525:2007 for 90% of NLA as measured at the
working plane measured from floor level

7 Strategy and Implementation

Design approach by use of Philips TBS424 2xTLS-28W HFP O light fittings completed
with high frequency electronic ballast with automatic dimming function for office
space.

introduction of the LuxSense Automatic dimmer for all fittings to ensure control of
