Teaching 11th and 12th grade Physics class full-time (4 periods). Responsible for lesson plans, testing and grading.
Prep-hour used in conjunction with the other Physics class to ensure the same material is covered. Familiar with
school software for attendance and grades. Familiar with SmartBoard technology and using Phet simulations in the
classroom.

as a business instructor for Nestle Thailand. Responsible for a successful language school in London including
needs analysis, testing, student placement and time-tabling. Recruited teachers, offering support and direction
including class observation. Created Teacher Training courses and implemented them for international teachers.

MIDDLE / HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH TEACHER


4/95-4/96 Islamsriayuthaya, Ayutthaya, Thailand
Rural community work with 800 students aged 13-18.Created an original curriculum due to lack of materials.
Taught a weekly class for the teachers. Organized and directed the end of year school play. Lived with a local Thai
family and learned Thai.

Created and led a dynamic interactive outdoor science camp for children aged 8-13 in hands-on activities to learn

Responsible for staff supervision and activities of 45 children of all ages. Planted and tended a community garden
and ran Plant Biology activities in the afternoon.

9/90-7/91 Seneca Center, San Leandro, California
Worked at a Residential Facility for Emotional Disturbed Children. Cooked lunches and dinners for seven children
ages seven to thirteen, organized activities and field trips. Trained in counseling techniques and to physically
restrain violent children in a safe room.

INTERPRETIVE RANGER
6/90-8/90 Glacier National Park, Montana
As a Summer Interpretive Ranger gave walks and talks to hundreds of tourists on local Ecology, Geology, Glacier
Science, Fire Science and Grizzly safety.

INTERN RANGER
8/88-5/90 Golden Gate National Park, Sausalito, California.
Lectured and guided school groups and public walk on local plant and animal biology, geology, hydrology, and
historic sites. Organized field trips for inner-city school children from Oakland, some of whom had never been to
the ocean before.

INTERPRETIVE LEADER
6/85-7/88 Adventure Playground and Shorebird Nature Park Center, Berkeley Marina, CA.
Worked with children in playground building structures out of plywood and other materials, supervised use of
hammers and saws. Led exploration trips on the marina to teach Marine Biology. Led science activities using
microscopes and water quality tests at the Nature Center.

CONSERVATION VOLUNTEER
6/84-8/84 Student Conservation Association, Golden Gate National Park, Sausalito, California.
Built a native seedling green house with special water saving drip-feed system.
