Ergonomics are defined by fitting the job to the worker or person
If you cant adjust your workplace for you then you will be more at
risk to being exposed to risk factors that may lead to
musculoskeletal injuries
Main ergonomic risk factors include repetition, awkward postures,
and static forces
There are proper ways to sit at your workstation to reduce or avoid
risk factors (wrist, shoulders, elbows, neck, hips, lower back, neck,
knees and feet)
Your computer monitor and keyboard should be at a comfortable
level and distance away from your eyes to make it a natural
reading
Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) can relate to muscles, joints,
nerves and tendons
MSDs can result from repetitiveness of movement, force of
movement, incorrect posture and movement, and eyestrain.
