ARTICLE5Section13.AlocalPTA/PTSAmaydisaffiliateordissolvefromtheMinnesotaPTSAandNational
PTAandconcludeitsbusinessinthefollowingmanner:
TheExecutiveCommitteeorotherbodythat,underitsbylawsmanagesthebusinessofthelocal
PTA/PTSAshalladoptaresolutionrecommendingthatthelocalPTA/PTSAbedissolvedand
directingthatthequestionofsuchdissolutionbesubmittedtoavoteataspecialmeetingof
membershavingvotingrights.Writtenorprintednoticestatingthatthepurposeofsuchmeetingis
toconsidertheadvisabilityofdissolvingthelocalPTA/PTSAshallbegiventhirty(30)dayspriorto
thedateofsuchmeeting.
Writtennoticeoftheadoptionofsuchresolution,accompaniedbyacopyofthenoticeofthe
specialmeetingofmembers,shallbegiventothepresidentoftheMinnesotaPTSAatleasttwenty
(20)daysbeforethedatefixedforsuchspecialmeetingofthemembers.

Section5.ThecharterofthisPTAshallbesubjecttowithdrawalandthestatusofsuchorganizationasa
PTAunitshallbesubjecttotermination,inthemannerandunderthecircumstancesprovidedinthebylaws
oftheMinnesotaPTSA.(SeeStateBylaws,ArticleVI,section17andArticleXVIII,Section5).
Section6.ThislocalPTAisobligated,uponwithdrawalofitscharterbytheMinnesotaPTSA:
