The great Pyramids

of Giza
By: Brynn Bertovic

Period: 1

Ages of the Pyramids

The first step to a pyramid was a mastaba.

The first two dynasties had this.
Then they had the idea of staking mastabas
on top of each other.
They Called that a Step pyramid which Djoser
was the first to have.
Over the years they decided to flatten out the
sides of the step pyramid. That was the final
step.
They called it the true pyramid.
Over time they stopped building pyramids
because tomb raiders were stealing all the
gold and materials inside.
So they started to bury the pharaohs in the
valley of the kings instead of in pyramids.
