Success is built on the foundation of failure; from there, determination and the

willingness to go above all others is the mortar that builds the tower of success.
By entering into the Honors Academy I will have the opportunity to reach goals that are
not available to other students. To be among the academic best has been a goal for me since my
first semester in college. The hard work that earned my first 4.0 GPA was the catalyst that
started my love for knowledge. Spending the entire day studying was not a chore to me; it was
an adventure to see how much knowledge I could attain before campus closed. That love for
knowledge has grown ever since, the passion that interest me the most is engineering. It is a
field that allows for creativity, but demands perfection. That perfection and creativity can be
harnessed and nurtured if accepted into the Honors Academy. There is no doubt in my mind that
pursuing an Honors Curriculum will not only help me better myself, but better the students
around me. Being in a leadership position will give me the opportunity to improve my
managerial skills and learn through the art of teaching.
The height of my tower of success is determined by the strength of my mortar, and by
pursuing the Honors curriculum the heights that I can reach are limitless.
