2nd Grade Teacher ( Interim)
Dana Elementary School ( Jan 2015 June 2015)
I served as an interim 2nd Grade Teacher at Dana
Elementary. This experience was a great learning
opporunity for me . I held all of the responsibilities of a
classroom teacher. I led parent conferences, attended
staff meetings and trainings, and worked as part of an
important member of my 2nd grade team to plan and
carry out instruction. I also implemented The 7 Habits
Leader in Me program in my classroom. I used ideas from
this program to help students create and track academic
and personal goals for continued success.

Instructional Assistant
Dana Elementary School (Aug 2014 December
2014)
At Dana Elementary, I worked as an Instructional
Assistant for one of the SED classrooms. I had
opportunities to co-teach as well as assist the children we
served in activities outside of our classroom. Through this
position, Ive gained valuable knowledge of how to teach
children with emotional challenges.

Behavior Assistant
Reaching Milestones with Behavior Consultation
Services ( Jan 2013- March 2014)
In this position, I worked with children diagnosed with
Autism and Aspergers. I worked one on one with
children using Applied Behavior Analysis to help them
with social, academic, adult living skills, eating disorders,
language/communication, and other difficulties these
children face.

In this position, I worked as an Educational Aide in
several classrooms. I was assigned to children with IEPS. I
also helped with lunch and recess duty.

CYS Youth Services Supervisory Lead


Vicenza Youth Services, Italy (January 2011August 2011)
In this position, I worked with Vicenza Youth and Teens
to serve as Supervisory Lead for the Youth and Teen
Centers. I planned and carried out many activities daily
for the centers. I also over saw field trips, dances, and
lock ins. I supervised employees and ensured a safe
environment for the Youth and Teen Center.

After School/ Summer Camp

I worked with children ranging in grades from
Kindergarten to 7th grade as an after school/summer
camp counselor. My main responsibility was to plan and
carry out activities to ensure the safety, learning

program. I worked together with fellow employees,
school staff, and parents while following state guidelines
and procedures to ensure the best possible experiences
for our children.

This training gave me a better understanding of
how to use Jr. Great Books in the classroom to help my
students with reading comprehension goals.

Seven Habits of Highly Effective People


(October 2014)
This training helped me to understand The 7
Habits of Highly Effective People, developed by Steven
Covey. This training covered the 7 habits in depth, as well
as how to incorporate and teach the 7 habits to children
in the classroom.

CPI (Aug 2014)


CPI, (Crisis Prevention Intervention), taught me
how to safely handle instances of physical aggression
coming from students. This training taught preventative
measures as well as blocks and restraints for handling
physical aggression.

BSAC (November 2010)


Basic School Age Care: This was a required
training for child care employees in my county. Topics
covered in training were health/safety/nutrition,
environmental design of the classroom, child/youth
development, developmentally appropriate activities,
guiding child behavior, and quality school age care.
