Instructions:
1. Describe the concepts, citing relevant theories, chronological
progress, framework/models etc.
2. Critically assess the merits of the concepts and its applications in
various contexts of organizations
3. Then, perhaps, suggest if and how the concepts may be
conceptualized into a research framework with IVs and DVs and
probable hypotheses and the research contexts.
4. Target for a group presentation of 20 minutes duration for each
topic.

TOPICS:
1. Theories of Leadership
Search for all major and sub-theories in leadership. Prepare a
write-up of the details on the theories and also a comparison
among the theories, pointing at their advantages, disadvantages,
suitable contexts of application, effects, etc.
2. Book Reading & Critical Summary
Select a book on leadership of your choice (not a textbook),
preferably those written or updated within the last 3-5 years.
Describe/list salient points/models/framework from the book and
critically write your thoughts and suggestions and/or
recommendations on how these may be applied in the current
contexts and challenges of your own or a selected organization of
your choice.
3. Appointment of Foreign CEOs in Malaysian
GLCs/Conglomerates: A critical analysis (using 6 Thinking
Hats)
Use the 6 Hats in any sequence of your preference to do a critical
analysis of the topic on any CEO or organization of your choice.
Prepare a write-up of between 15-20 pages (Font 12, TNR or Arial,
1.5 spacing).
