OTURA-OGBE (OTURA-ORIKO)

1.

Ifa says that you are not the oldest in your household,
but everybody will be looking forward to you for
guidance and leadership. Ifa says you should propitiate
your ori and offer ebo for longevity. Ifa advises you to
offer ebo with 2 roosters and money. You will consult
Ifa to know what you will use to propitiate your ori. On
this, Ifa says;

Dia fun Orimado, abeso wankaka
Kiku o ma pa Orimado laigbo
Orimado oba igi ni o
Karun, ejo, ofo o ma se Orimado laigbo
Orimado oba igi ni
Translation:
The calabash cup is it that drinks alcohol with its
wide mouth
The Ifa cast for Orimado, with its strong fruits
May death not kill orimado prematurely
Orimado is the king of trees
May affliction, contention and loss not afflict
Orimado prematurely
Orimado is the king among trees

2. Ifa foresees ire of leadership whereby people will always

be at your service. Ifa says that your Ori will never let you
down. Ifa advises you to propitiate your Ori with pigeon,
kolanuts, bitter-kola and gin. You are also advised to
offer ebo with 2 guinea fowls, 2 roosters, 2 white
pigeons and money. On this, Ifa says;
Sosoro Awo abata
Dia fun Oloriire Apesin
Sosoro o de o, Awo Apesin
Eyin o mo wipe
Oloriire laa pee sin

Translation:
Sosoro the Awo of the Swappyland
He cast Ifa for Oloriire Apesin, the Lucky man who
shall be worshipped by all
Here comes Sosoro, the Awo of Abata

that people gather to worship?

3. Ifa assures you in this stanza that all your endeavours

shall be successful. Ifa advises you to offer ebo with

pigeon, guinea fowl, duck and money. On this, Ifa
says;

Dia fun agilinti
Ti n sunkun oun o lowo lowo
Ebo ni won ni ko waa se
Agilinti gba mi o, Agilinti
Aba aje, aya, omo ti mo da
Ifa dakun ma gbagbe mi

Translation:
When the day dawns
The sun rays will enter through the cracks on the
wall
This was the Ifa cast for Agilinti
When weeping that he lacked wealth
He was advised to offer ebo
Agilinti, please come to my rescue
I propose for me to be blessed with wealth,
spouse, children and long life

4. Ifa reiterates again in this stanza that you must be

propitiating your Ori at all times in order for you to be

financially successful. Ifa also advises you to propitiate
the spirit of the dead. If your parents are still alive, you
can propitiate the spirit of your grand-parents or any of
your dead family. You also need to offer ebo with 4
guinea-fowls, 4 pigeons, and money. On this, Ifa says;

Translation:
The birds arm is just a bit bigger that its thigh
Cast Ifa for Ori, the offspring of Atete-niran
Offspring of the one who quickly supports
someone in the presence of Oosa
The wealth I have today
It is the work of my Ori
It is Otura-Oriko
Spouse, children and all the good things of life that
have today
It is the efforts of my Ori
Thanks to Otura-Oriko
5. Ifa advises you to offer ebo so that whatever you lay your

hands upon shall prosper. You need to feed Ifa with one
pig. You will also feed Ogun with one rooster. After all
these, Ifa says you will have course to smile. On this, Ifa
says;

Ifa says that you have four different things in mind that
have been bothering you. Ifa assures you that all these
thoughts which have been giving you restlessness shall
goes the way you want it. That is, your prayers shall be
answered. You need to offer ebo with 4 roosters and
money. You also need to propitiate Sango and Oya. On
this, Ifa says;

7. Ifa foresees ire of childbearing for you. Ifa advises you to

cook okro soup with fish and use it to feed Ifa. You will
also offer ebo with plenty fish and money. On this, Ifa

8. Ifa foresees ire of longevity for you. Ifa says you will not

die prematurely. Ifa advises you to offer ebo with rooster

and money. On this, Ifa says;

Translation:
The penis is the ambassador of pregnancy
Sperm is the messenger of baby
Shadow is the messenger of Olodumare
Oririmari the Awo of Ajagun
He cast Ifa for Ajagun

Alas! Oririmari, Ajagun has become spirit, he

9. Ifa foresees ire of wealth and victory over adversaries for

you. However, Ifa advises you to offer ebo with pigeon,

rooster, plaintain, bull-frog and money. On this, Ifa
says;

Babalawo to ba kofa-mofa
A maa di Babalawo
Onisegun to ba koogun-moogun
A maa di Agbalagba isegun

Translation:
Akofa-mofa,the person who learned Ifa and
knows it, is the Awo of Akofa-mofa, the
person who learned Ifa and knows it
Akoogun-moogun, the one who learnt
medicine and knows it, the Awo of Akoogunmoogun
Any Babalawo who learns Ifa and knows it
Will become a veteran Babalawo
Any medicine man who learn medicine and
knows it
Will become a veteran medicine man
They cast Ifa for Abaya konko, the one whose
chest is like bull-frog
When coming from heaven to earth

And also for Abaya gbangba, the one who is

chesty
When coming from heaven to earth
If death, affliction, contention, losses is
coming to Awo
Baba Abaya konko
Our chest rejects those ones
If wealth, children, spouse, house and all the
good things of life is coming to Awo

Our chest can take those one

10. Ifa foresees ire of unexpected opportunities and all ire

from all quarters for you. Ifa advises you to offer ebo with
pigeon, hen, guinea fowl and money. You also need
to feed Ifa with goat. On this, Ifa says;

11. Ifa advises you to offer ebo in order to stop negative

principalities from tormenting you. You also need to offer

ebo for longevity. The ebo materials include, konko
(bull-frog) plantain, he-goat and money. You will also
use plantain and the bull-frog to feed Ifa. On this, Ifa
says;

12. Ifa advises you to offer ebo in order to be successful in

life. Ifa also advises you to propitiate your Ori with duck,
rooster and guinea fowl. You will ofer ebo with 2 guinea
fowls 2 pigeons and money. On this, Ifa says;
Ka ji ni kutukutu
Ka mohun ipin kopin
Dia fun Olomo Ajibare-pade-lola o
Emi ti ji ni kutukutu, mo ti mohun ipin kopin
Ifa je kin bare pade lola
Translation:
To wake up early in the morning
And give what belongs to Ori to Ori
This was Ifas declaration to Olomo-Ajibaare
pade

Ifa says you should offer ebo for longevity, childbearing

and prestige. The ebo materials include 8 hens, 8

guinea fowls, 8 roosters, 8 ducks and money. On

this, Ifa says;

Ifa advises you not to be lazy at work. You should be

hard-working and you must not play with your job. You
must not leave your work to do unnecessary thing. Ifa
says that you must never play ayo game. Ifa advises
you to get one chick and insert the stem of bitterleaf into its anus, make sure that the stem is strong
enough to carry the chick. You will take it to where they

These were Ifas declarations to Oyi
When going to heaven

Ifa says that they want you to embark on a journey so

that you will come back in shame. Ifa says that it is you

2 roosters and money. On this, Ifa says;

Ongo nikan ni nbe leyin ti nsebo

Translation:
