[Jowan] sent in this excellent gameboy cartridge hack. The cartridge contains 1MB of
flash and an 8 bit serial I/O interface. He's using it to play percussion with some
solenoids and a custom rom. If you guys like it, he might be convinced to put together a
how-to on hacking the cartridge.

kBANG: GameBoy Drum Machine

GameBoy Drum Machine Software Interface

Instead of making noises in sequnce it controls solenoids

Uses can > program the drum pattern with interface and place solnoids on different
surfaces to create different noises.

kBANG ver 01 uses the new GameBrain cartridge ustilising SMD technology with 1
megabyte Flash and 16 out 8 in port.
This is a cut down on the GameBrain Ver 01 which had 24 in/out but has the obvious
advantage of fitting in a normal cartridge case.
Interface was programmed in GBBasic, brillinat language but needs to be done in C for
better timing.
The Rom is availble [here] for any emyulator but obviously won't od much as hasn't got
the solenoids attached.
As the interface was programmed in loops it is very easy to increase amount of solenoids,
rows and steps in sequence.
Next release will have speed control, save patch and mute channel - this was done in a
week for Enter_ please see videos below.
