INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEMS DESIGNER: APTIMA/CUBIC
2014-PRESENT
Designed game-based interactive media instruction for the Navys Littoral
Combat Ship (LCS) Training Program. Collaborated with SMEs to design,
develop, and review game-based courseware presented in an immersive
virtual ship environment incorporating 2D and 3D shipboard mission
equipment, avatars and job performance tools. Developed storyboards to
implement learning objectives, track performance metrics, and satisfy
assessment standards. Promoted to a leadership position responsible for
managing an ISD team tasked to develop the training courseware. Promoted
to the POC for Aptima to serve as the liaison with Cubic and to manage a
team of ten across two projects. Managed an interdisciplinary team tasked to
address, implement, and respond to customer comments on courseware
products. Designed, developed, and implemented new hire onboarding for
the LCS project.

2009-2014
Developed differentiated instructional materials and assessments using a
variety of learning theories and models. Implemented instruction through
the use of various instructor and student technologies. Developed distance
and eLearning opportunities and provided instructional support. Tracked
assessment performance through an LMS and conducted individualized
remediation.
AUGMENTED REALITY GAME DESIGNER: FreshAiR
2009-2011
Created five augmented reality experiences using engaging story lines linked
to the Virginia Standards of Learning. The device used was an iPhone 4 and
utilized GPS technology to track the exact location of learners throughout
the game map.
