Objective: I want to help educate and empower children. I believe childhood to

be an important stage in development to becoming a functioning and contributing
member of society. I want to work with kids who may not be in the best
environments and need some guidance and support. I believe I can achieve this
with my personal life experiences and my studies in Child Psychology.

Experience
EMR Basic Trainer
Apple Valley Medical Center
Public Company; 201-500 employees; Medical Practice industry
February 2014 Present (4 months)
I was recently given an additional role besides working in the lab at the clinic. I am the trainer
for the EMR system used at the clinic. I train any new employee, ranging from nurses and
administrative roles to newly hired physicians. I created the training manual used in training
from scratch. I also use an overhead projector and mock computer stations to teach the system to
the new employees.

Phlebotomist
Apple Valley Medical Center
Public Company; 201-500 employees; Medical Practice industry
November 2010 Present (3 years 7 months) Apple Valley
Current Position: I am currently a phlebotomist at AVMC. I draw patient's blood according to the
orders provided by the physicians. I come across many different specimens daily, ranging from
blood to tissue samples. I also do clerical tasks at the desk including qualtiy checks of lab results
and making sure urgent or positive results are handled in a timely manner. Also, I work
extensively with CPT and ICD-9 codes when entering in lab orders. I also assist the OHS
department by performing Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests when needed.
Full-time 40hrs/week

2nd Position: I work in the new department, the Information Center. We receive all incoming
phone calls and deal with whatever call we receive. My job includes: transferring phone calls,
sending prescriptions to doctors, reading patient results to the patient, scheduling appointments
for all family practice doctors, relaying messages from patient to doctor and vice versa, and
upholding excellent communication skills for every phone call.
1st Position: As a Medical Records Clerk I have many different jobs within the department. I
often times will do a Release of Information position where I release confidential medical
records to other clinics, patients, or parties according to HIPPA laws and regulations. I also
answer the entire clinics incoming calls (one operator) and direct patients and customers to many
different extensions. I also will scan in paper charts to our electronic medical records system,
which was newly implemented at the clinic in June of 2011. Also included in scanning is adding
demographics and information into the chart. It is very tedious and requires a very keen eye for
mistakes. I also deal with sending prescriptions to MDs and PAs so that they can approve, deny,
or make any further changes and have them sent to a pharmacy or given to the patient. My job
entails many other responsibilities that shift and change daily as our clinic grows.

I would answer all incoming phone calls to the club. I would also greet and check-in all members
