We laud your sctions to defend our confidential information despite Regent Hall's efforts to access it, and we thank you for your record of standing up for and listering to students. All three of ‘our legislative student organizations operate on the function of servant leadership, and we: actively take into account the voices of our $0,000 constituents. We are glad to soe that ‘you held a similar understanding of leadership. One of our University's core values, leadership, is exemplified inthe upstanding actions shown by you, our Chancellor. As the three legislative student organizations of The University of Texas at Austin, we hhave been monitoring the detrimental actions of Regent Wallace Hall over the past severa! years. These actions discredit and embarrass our institution. Regent Wallace Hall ‘has conducted himself in # manner unfitting of a representative of The University of ‘Texas System. As a result, the Senate of College Councils and the Student Government ‘both passed Joint Resolution 2, “A Vote of ‘No Confidence’ in Regent Wallace Hall” in [November 2013. Regent Hall's lawsuit against you in an attempt to gain access to confidential student records is one more action in along pattem of filing to account for the concems and best interests of students, In the face ofthis current situation, we are moved by your commitment to protect UT System students, In your 2014 commencement speech, you emphasized the importance of Perseverance and individual integrity. You tasked us with being our best in the darkest ‘moments and called on us not to back down when faced with sharks. This speech was inspiring, and we are glad to see the principles ofthis rhetori in action. We are thankful ‘you are a man of your word.
