This is a good example of a strategic educational technology plan for the HURSTEULESS-BEDFORD ISD Technology Plan. The goal of this plan is based on the
results of the survey and will provide the paths in our effort to move from Early
Teach levels to Target Teach levels in all focus areas as recommended by Texas

Education Acency.
All teachers in the district are asked to fill out the online Texas Star Chart results
for each campus will be evaluated to help determine progress toward meeting
technology goals.

CURRICULUM COMPONENT CRITERIA.


The Plan must establish clear goals and realistic strategy for using
telecommunications and information technology to improve education services.
(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)

Describe teachers' current access to instructional technology and current


use of digital tools.
1. What technology is currently available for teachers?

2. How are hardware and software currently being used in classrooms at each grade
level and in each content area?
Each classroom computer connected to the server, and each teacher able to reach school
database to take attendance, and keep students personal information. Academic software
for elementary and high school students ALEKS, Accelerated Reader, ODYSSE, Study
Island.

Describe students' current access to instructional technology and current use of


digital tools. Include a description about the LEA policy, practices, and/or
replacement policy that ensures equitable technology access for all students.
1. Is technology currently available to all students?
Yes, each student have their own chrome book that is issued by the school. And in their
class room they have projectors, document cameras, smart boards students able to use all
those technology.

2. What replacement cycle has been built into the plan; and what funding is needed
to support the replacement policy?
Harmony Science Academy- Euless has particular policies to use for replacement policy.
If there is damaged on one of the students, chrome book needs to replace or repaired. If
school run out devices to loan a student they holding damaged device until a loan
machine comes back. When students are loaning a device, they must sign the agreement
for it. Students can take their chrome book to home with them to do home works and
other school works. For the devices, they have to sign in at the beginning of the school
year, and they have to sign out at the end of the school year.
Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for using
technology to improve teaching and learning. Describe how these goals align to
the LEA's curricular goals that are supported by other plans. Describe how the
LEA's budget (LCAP) supports these goals, and whether future funding
proposals or partnerships may be needed for successful implementation.
1. What are the LEAs curriculum goals and plans for assisting students to meet
technology literacy and information skills?
Our school curriculum objectives and plans are ensured by the central office and
implemented in computer applications classes in Harmony Science Academy-Euless. The
goal is to have all students technology learned and equipped with required skills for
future life.
2. What LEA adopted curriculum supports the acquisition of technology and
information literacy skills?
Harmony Science Academy-Euless utilizes Learning.com curriculum as recommended by
the central office.
Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, to address
Internet Safety and the appropriate and ethical use of technology in the
classroom.
1. What LEA board policies will be or have been developed to implement Internet
safety instruction?
Harmony Science Academy-Euless board policies have been designed to implement
internet safety by using Firewall. The purpose of using Firewall is to make sure school
internet system is free from virus attacks and monitor the internet traffic.
How are students using online communication technologies, including but not

limited to social networking and instant messaging?


In Harmony Science Academy-Euless, our students have a school email account issued
by the schools' domain. Students can send an email to their teacher or their friends by
using school email account.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPONENT
The Plan must have a professional development strategy to ensure that staff
understands how to use these new technologies to improve education services
(Answer at least 2 questions for each subsection below)

Summary of the teachers' and administrators' current technology proficiency and


integration skills and needs for professional development.
1. Are administrators able to support teachers with the integration of technology
into daily curriculum?
Our school Administration is exceptionally supportive of HSA-Euless teachers to the
integration of technology into the daily curriculum. And also it is a requirement for the
central office to implement technology in all grade levels and each class. The central
office supported by the government the grand provided.
2. What do teachers and administrators consider as their needs for professional
development?
Harmony Science Academy-Euless staff will be provided with a variety of staff
development opportunities to ensure appropriate and effective uses of technology.
Attending conferences, workshop, and consortium meetings to keep abreast of current
developments in technology.

Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for providing
professional development opportunities based on your LEA needs assessment
data and the Curriculum Component of the plan.
1. How will teachers and administrators be trained and provided ongoing support in
the effective integration of technology into curriculum?
Teachers and administrators will be attending conferences, workshop, and
consortium meetings to learn newly implemented software and how to use
new devices to enhance students learning.

2. What professional learning will be available so teachers and administrators can

make informed decisions using data to meet individual student academic needs?
Techno-TV, Logon for Lunch, on-line training, campus visit, district professional
development courses.
INFRASTRUCTURE, HARDWARE, TECHNICAL SUPPORT, SOFTWARE, AND
ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPONENT CRITERIA
The Plan must include an assessment of the telecommunication services,
hardware, software, asset management, and other services that will be needed to
improve education services.

Describe the existing hardware, Internet access, electronic learning resources,


technical support, and asset management already in the LEA that will be used to
support the Curriculum and Professional Development Components of the plan.
1. What technologies are available to facilitate home/school communication such as
email, web pages, and voice mail?
We have available following technologies to facilitate home/school communication such
as email, web page, and voice mail. If there is urgent news, information or upcoming
events we are reaching our parents via posting on the web site, sending email, and voice
mail.
2. What technology access do parents have at home? What technologies do parents
prefer for home/school communication?
Our parents uses their computers or laptops at home to check their kids grades and their
discipline status. Also by using their devices they communicate with teachers via email.
Some of our parents using their smart phones to check emails or grades by using school
app.
Describe the technology hardware, electronic learning resources, networking and
telecommunications infrastructure, physical plant modifications, technical
support, and asset management needed by the LEA's teachers, students, and
administrators to support the activities in the Curriculum and Professional
Development components of the plan.
1. What emerging technologies could be used to implement the plans goal?
Our plan is to combine all the servers in each school under one main server, so teachers
are able to access to all services wherever they are. And we are going to control all the
school servers from the one survey.

Where will the technology be placed to effectively support the Curriculum and
Professional development components?
The technology is going to placed in Harmony Science Academy-Euless. The items that
we are thinking to support for curriculum and professional development components are
renewing the teachers' laptops, and we are going to order one more printer, some smart
boards for core course classes.
MONITORING AND EVALUATION COMPONENT
The plan must include an evaluation process that enables the school to monitor
progress toward the specific goals and make mid-course corrections in response
to new developments and opportunities as they arise.

Describe the process for evaluating the plan's overall progress and impact on
teaching and learning.
1. How will the LEA know whether implementation of this plan has made a positive
impact on teaching and learning?
Teachers and student interviews will be conducted to determine levels of growth in the
use of technology in curriculum areas and to assess their technology needs. Also
technology specialists will document use of campus technologies by observing evidence
of technology use by items such as posted work created on compute, students presenting
or working in groups using technology, work published on teacher website, etc.
2. Describe the process to coordinate the individual evaluation component.
The technology steering committee will review and assess all stages of plan development
and monitoring. We will check teachers reflect and how satisfied they are and we are
going to use department heads, team leaders, and coaches feedback at the end of the year
so that way they can be evaluated one by one.
Describe the schedule for evaluating the effect of plan implementation, including
a description of the process and frequency of communicating evaluation results
to tech plan stakeholders.
1. How often will data be collected and summarized? Who is responsible?
Data will be collected and summarized from the technology steering committee every

quarter during the school year. The members are this committee dean of academics and
data analyst.
2. How often will the status of plan implementation be reported to the LEA
superintendent and the stakeholders?
This plan is prepared for three years, and the status of plan implementation will reports to
the LEA superintendent and the stakeholders annually.
