    Art: The children used white paper squares to
    create their own igloos. They also used

    Fine Motor: We laced mittens and picked up
    “snowballs” with tongs.

    Gross Motor: We pretended to be penguins and


    played “Protect the Egg”. We also played a
    game called “Iceberg” Ask your child to teach
    you how to play!

    Reading: The Jacket I Wear in the Snow


    The Mitten and Arctic Animals

    Math: We sorted pairs of mittens according to


    color and size. We also sorted igloo squares
    into groups of small, medium and large.

    Science: We experimented with ice-cubes to


    learn about liquids and solids…try this at
    home!

    Computer: We continued practicing typing our


    name in Word….ask your child to show you!
