THE GROWLERIE AT PROGRESS RIDGE TOWNSQUARE, PRESIDENT AND CO-FOUNDER

As President I lead the development of a taproom and growler fill location including,
concept, branding, location, business plan, financial models, budget, build out, staffing,
accounting and supervision & management of the General Manager. Achieved first calendar
year results of $540 sales sq. ft. and EBIT of 14%. Sold shares in March 2015, earning a
350% ROI after 2 years.
READY DISTRIBUTION, PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER
November 2005 - Present
Ready Distribution is a wholesale distributor of computerized point of sale terminals,
peripherals and digital video security systems with offices in Beaverton, OR and Buena
Park, CA. The company was formed in 2005 as a result of a merger between POS Sales
Management of Beaverton and NSA Distribution of Cerritos CA. I bought out my partner in
January 2008 to become 100% owner. The business currently has 10 employees in 2
offices, has been profitable every year and has a projected 2015 revenue is $9,500,000.
NSA DISTRIBUTION, PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER
1992 2005
Created the business as a regional electronic cash register (ECR) distributor. In 1998, I
expanded into computerized point of sale (POS) terminals and peripherals. NSA started as
a small regional ECR distributor with first year revenue of $400K. At the time of the merger
NSA had revenue of $6,000,000 with a national customer base.

1986 1995
Began business as an independent sale representative agency selling equipment and
supplies to restaurant equipment dealers in Southern California. Started as solo operator,
built to five person organization before selling to my partners to focus on NSA Distribution.

BOY SCOUT TROOP 432 LAKE OSWEGO, OR

Assistant Scout Master 2011 Present
432 is a boy led troop of 50 to 60 scouts, As assistant scoutmaster, I serve as advisor and
mentor to the Duck Tape patrol, In addition, I serve as merit badge counselor and adult
committee member. In my ASM capacity I have attended numerous scout outings including
backpacking trips, river rafting, camporees and scout camps.
PORTLAND MENNONITE CHURCH
President, Church Council 2012 2013
Church Councils function was to manage the budget and financial affairs of the church. As
Council Chair I served as the legal representative of Portland Mennonite. I also served on a
reorganization committee whose work resulted in elimination of the council in favor of an
improved structure with greater accountability to members and other stakeholders.
BUSINESS ALLIANCE FOR LOCAL LIVING ECONOMIES (BALLE)

BALLE is a national organization whose mission is to catalyze, strengthen and connect
local business networks dedicated to building strong local economies. When I left the
board BALLE had of 10,000 business members nationwide and a budget of $2,000,000.
10,000 VILLAGES / BANYON TREE

10,000 Villages is a non-profit retail organization, founded over 60 years ago. The
organization is considered the founder of the global fair trade movement. I served on and
ultimately lead the board of the Portland store. During my tenure the store relinquished its
franchise, changed its name, and eventually was forced to close in 2012. As the last board
chair I was responsible for the wind down and dissolution.
SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS NETWORK OF PORTLAND (SBNP)

SBNP was a membership business organization dedicated to creating an environmentally
and financially sustainable economy in the Portland Metro Area. I played a lead role in
developing and implementing SBNPs Think Local First campaign in 2004, the first city
wide campaign of its kind in Portland.
