Positive Behavior Interventions and

Supports (PBIS) is a process for
creating a school environment that
focuses on behaviors that are
desired rather than those that are
counterproductive to learning. Here
at Reedy Creek we use an acronym
known as F.R.O.G.S, where we do
our best to show Friendship,
Respect, O rder and safety, Good
judgment and Self-control daily.
Several incentives, systems, and
procedures are implemented to
ensure that all students are
motivated to make positive choices
and parents play an active role in
building strong character.

What is
STEM?
STEM is an acronym for Science,
Technology, Engineering, and
Math education. It is used at
Reedy Creek elementary to engage
our students in 21 century learning
that enhances academic success
and real world learning. We believe
that when students are able to
participate in project-based
learning by A sking questions,
Imaging the possibilities, Planning
their work, Creating a product, and
Improving their creation we are
doing the work of building life-long
independent learners. With the
STEM model failure is not a
problem, sometimes its part of
the process.

Reedy Creek elementary offers a quality education
to all children in a caring environment that
recognizes and respects all aspects of cultural
diversity. Students are actively engaged in a wide
variety of educational experiences including
hands-on learning, technology-based learning and
cooperative learning. Students are also
constantly encouraged to assume leadership roles
within the school setting and take risk. Together
with the home and community, the Reedy Creek
staff provides a rich opportunity for cognitive,
social, emotional, and physical growth!
