1. There shall be a project as part of the requirement of the course Signal
Processing and Signal Spectra that will form part of the students grade in the said course. 2. The project may be carried out by groups of four or five students. 3. The project could either be synthesis or includes design and it should fall either any of the following cores: filter design, simulations, signal detection, and or signal recognition. 4. The project shall be initiated by the group by submitting a project description which includes title, short description, problem /s and objectives written on a short size bond paper, to be approved by your instructor. 5. The basic operation of digital signal processing must be carried out, that is: 1) there should be an analog signal (from any source like light, sound, temperature, position or pressure) to be taken as input; 2) the signal may then undergo A/D conversion otherwise known as sampling; 3) Processing of the digitized signal (by changing, manipulating, e.g. filtering, reducing, adding, etc); and 4) utilizing digitized signal for application (either in digitized or analog form). 6. The use of computer and a software programming (C or C++, Mathlab, etc) is highly recommended. Codes from other sources other than yours should not be copied, instead, they can be used as reference to create your own codes. Though you are allowed to use free source codes, it should be used only for the purpose of improving your own codes. 7. Grades for the project shall be done by checking the progress of the project by your instructor twice for the midterm and thrice for the final term. 8. 9. The deadline of submission for the project shall be a week before the scheduled final examination.
