Mr. Robot purports to be rated TV-14. It is definitely NOT TV-14 material. It should be rated TV-MA.
was very disturbed by the content. I have a filter on my television because usually TV-14 shows are
okay for my kids but this was not. It had two graphic sex scenes including one of a pregnant woman
and BDSM. Wildly inappropriate for non-MA television.

Thank you for contacting the FCC to share your concerns about broadcast program material that you
find offensive. It is against federal law for a television or radio station to air obscene programming at
any time, or to air indecent or profane material during the hours of 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The FCC is
charged with enforcing the law that governs the broadcast of such material.
For the FCC to consider whether a licensee has violated these requirements of the law, a complaint
must relate to particular programming, rather than express a general opinion. To proceed on a
complaint, the FCC must have information that includes the station that aired the programming
material, the date and time of day of the broadcast, a recording, transcript or description of the material
broadcasted. This will allow us to determine whether it is obscene, indecent or profane. Because your
complaint does not provide all of this information, we cannot proceed further with regard to your
allegations. Accordingly, we must close your complaint.
Your views and concerns about program material are important to us. You may refile your complaint
with this additional information. To expedite our consideration of your complaint, we recommend that
you submit it via the FCC's online Consumer Help Center at consumercomplaints.fcc.gov.
To assist you further, we are including links to information that discusses the law with respect to
indecent, profane and obscene broadcasts and our enforcement procedures.

My family does not think that the TV show Mr. Robot should be on TV with all the graphic drug scenes
and gay sex. We were quite shocked with the latest episode showing the temp CTO butt F'ing a
subordinate employee. The dialog afterwards was just as bad as if the CTO would have said "Take a
shower and clean up the shit!" I was disgusting.

On episode 3 of Mr. Robot, a sexual encounter between two men was shown with very little left to the
imagination. Both men could be seen clearly, with only their groin areas omitted. (But bare bottoms
were showing.) They were shown in the heat of passion. To make matters worse, one man was then
seen cleaning up the other. Really? I think this has NO place on TV. The episode ended with a man
and woman preparing for an S & M session.

I and my wife were watching the third episode of Mr Robot, we thought one of the better shows on
television this year. Until USA network displayed graphic sexual content between two males.
Disgusting, inflammatory, and just plain filthy. Although there was no penetration shown, they did
graphicly illustrate one cleaning the others anus.

In episode 3 of the series, there was a very graphic scene showing homosexual sodomy. There was
thrusting, nudity & sounds of fluid transfer. I've never seen any type of sex scene on Cable television
that comes close to the level of graphicness from this particular. It was indecent in every single way.
Please look into. We do not need such things so graphically depicted on public tv.

Last night's episode showed 2 men, naked, one on all 4s on a bed with a man behind him obviously
having sex. There were no warnings on the show. Nothing. I watched the first 2 episodes with my 13
year old daughter. I don't want to watch porn of any kind, gay or not, I CERTAINLY don't want my
daughter watching it. I'm horrified and so saddened by what I saw. I'm afraid for my children.

USA Network via Station #105 on Dish Network Aired the program "Mr Robot - Si E3" and at aprox
12:30PM EST, showed two males having explicit sex with nudity. I feel this violates FCC
standards/laws as I understand them by not only the network failing to issue "Parental Discretion
advised" warnings, but the airing time being a Saturday during middle of the day as my grandchild had
to see this unknowingly to me.

Thank you for your submission. Your complaint provides the FCC with important information we can
use to develop policies to protect consumers, remedy violations of the Communications Act, and
encourage future compliance with the law.
Cable TV and Offensive Programming
Consumers should always contact their cable company first when they have a complaint. In many
cases, the customer service representatives at their cable company will be able to assist them and
solve their problem. The telephone number for their cable company should be on the cable bill.
The cable company has jurisdiction over the following issues:
Programming carried on the system. With the exception of rules that require cable systems to carry
certain local broadcast stations, cable systems decide which programming services to carry.
Therefore, you should contact your cable system if it has dropped a particular channel.
Carriage of FM and AM radio stations.
Charges for Pay-per-view or pay-per-channel programming. The rates charged for this type of
programming are not regulated.
Local Franchising Authority (LFA) - The FCC and local franchising authorities are responsible for
enforcing a variety of cable television regulations. The LFA is the local municipal, county or other
government organization that regulates certain aspects of the cable television industry at the state or
local level. The name of the LFA may be on the front or back of your cable bill. If this information is not
on your bill, contact your cable company or your local town or city hall.
Programming considered indecent, obscene, violent or otherwise offensive to some viewers may be
transmitted over cable systems.
The FCC cannot restrict non-broadcast (cable) programming.
Cable Operators do not have the same restrictions on program content as regular television broadcast
stations.
Rules: Section 504 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996
As such, no further action is required by the FCC. Your complaint was closed as of today.

My complaint is two-fold: 1 .). The appropriate ratings for a series titled "Mr. Robot" on the basic cable
network called USA Network. 2.). The appropriate rebroadcast of "Mr. Robot" at 9:00 am... a time
when young children could easily see its' content.
Mr. Robot is a new series on the USA Network. It is a story about internet hackers and hacking. In
particular... Episode 3 (EPS I .2_D3BUG.MKV) aired at 8 pm last Wednesday 7-8-15. This particular
episode showed graphic drug use, graphic male/male sex, and graphic male/female bondage in which
the female was visibly pregnant. This episode was rated TV 14... which is absurd considering the
explicit content of this program. This series should clearly be rated TV 17. This leads me to complaint
#2: why is this show.., containing drug use, graphic sex and bondage... allowed to rebroadcast at 9
a.m. when young students are home on summer break? The mere title of this series... Mr. Robot...
would draw children to this completely inappropriate program. So in summary... I believe Mr. Robot is
not sufficiently rated to protect children. Plus... it is also being rebroadcast at an inappropriate time.
Thank you for considering my concerns.

floor on her stomach .The third episode showed male sex and a male female bondage seen all
gratuitous and not relevant to the show. I checked the rating and it was TV 14.1 have a 14 year old and
would never let them watch that on cable TV.

Dear Consumer,

(Please review the links below regarding paid service channels.)

To assist you further, we are including links to information that discusses the law with respect to
indecent, profane and obscene broadcasts and our enforcement procedures.

decisions.

I stopped on USA "Mr robot" at 2 pm EST not knowing the show, and within 20 minutes there was an
explicit male gay sex scene.
That is ridiculous for any child to stumble on, especially my religious freedom of a man joined with a
woman ONLY!
