Class Goal & Overview:


Students will read a variety of fiction and nonfiction, classic and contemporary. In addition to literature and
composition, we will create e-portfolios documenting our work on our Reitz Senior Projects. As seniors, we are
nearing that moment where we will go out into the real world, so our ultimate goal is to prepare ourselves to
respond to the needs and demands of society and the workplace.

Grading:

This course has a standard grading scale


Evidence of plagiarism or cheating will earn the student(s)
involved an automatic zero
Late work will be accepted for a lower percentage
Senior Service Learning project will account for 20-30% of your
grade each quarter

Supplies Needed Daily:

ThinkPad and charger in the school-issued case


Binder or folder and paper
Writing utensil (pencil or black/blue ink)

ThinkPad Policy:
The ThinkPads are the property of the EVSC. They are being loaned to
students for educational enhancement. Students are not entitled to
use the ThinkPad during class time.
If a student is distracted by the ThinkPad, I will confiscate it until
the end of the period
Absolutely no headphones/ear buds may be used during
instructional time

School Rules:

All school rules will be enforced in this class.
